Assata’s Daughters is a Black woman-led, young person-directed organization rooted in the Black Radical Tradition. AD organizes young Black people in Chicago by providing them with political education, leadership development, mentorship, and revolutionary services. Through our programs we aim to Deepen, Escalate, and Sustain the Movement for Black Liberation.

Our dishes are served communal style on a large piece of flat bread called injera. Made from unleavened "teff" flour, injera is moist, spongy, and a little sour. The injera is traditionally served on a mosob-- a large round plate on a colorful woven basket table-- with a variety of TSEBHI (sauces and stews) arranged around the injera. The TSEBHI is the traditional dish (peas, lentils and red pepper) served vegetarian style or with a selection of chicken, beef or lamb. Rich sauces and aromatic spices characterize the dishes. A common ingredient is a spicy red pepper paste called berbere; cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, thyme and cloves are also frequently used.

As we maneuver to address COVID-19, there has and will be a huge economic impact on the arts community, especially individual and teaching artists of color. If you are a BIPOC artists or administrators in financial need, please access this application form to understand how we plan to distribute funds and apply for any available money that is generated. Arts Administrators of Color Network has set up the Arts Leaders of Color Emergency Fund which folks can donate directly to in support of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists AND administrators (consultants, facilitators, box office staff, seasonal/temporary employees, etc.) who have been financially impacted due to COVID-19. Creatives practicing and teaching their art as well as the administrators who are supporting that art will without a doubt need our financial support to weather this unexpected and uncertain storm. All money raised will be distributed to BIPOC individual artists/teaching artists who have meet the requirements as stated in the application form. At this time, the emergency fund is only for arts leaders of color based in the United States

It supports community empowerment through training and development efforts strategically targeting faith, gov’t and community leaders and locally-based entrepreneurial training, business development, and job creation. Finally, it supports educational empowerment by facilitating strategic partnerships between US-based schools and those in developing nations for faculty and students cross-pollination and delivering technology training and computer literacy programs.

Arkansas Transgender Equality Coalition aims to advance equality, justice and inclusiveness for transgender and gender non-conforming Arkansans through a statewide trans-led organization. Ultimately, improving the lives of all transgender & gender non-binary Arkansans.

Arkansas Public Policy Panel is a statewide organization dedicated to achieving social and economic justice by organizing citizen groups around the state, educating and supporting them to be more effective and powerful, and linking them with one another in coalitions and networks. The Panel seeks to bring balance to the public policy process in Arkansas.
