The Baltimore Regional Housing Partnership (BRHP) is a non-profit organization that expands housing choices for families with low incomes, who have historically been excluded from housing in well-resourced neighborhoods, helping them to access and transition successfully to safe, healthy, and economically vibrant communities. As the Regional Administrator for the Baltimore Housing Mobility Program, BRHP has opened pathways to a better future for low-income families for nearly 15 years. BRHP currently provides 4,000 low-income families expanded housing, educational, and employment options in opportunity areas across the Baltimore region.

The Baltimore Educational Scholarship Trust, in partnership with our eighteen independent member schools, recruits and supports through the admissions process academically ambitious, African American students with financial need from the Baltimore area. Once students are enrolled, B.E.S.T. positions them for success through academic preparation, character and leadership development and support programs. The B.E.S.T. spectrum of services begins with the identification and recruitment of high-achieving African American students in Baltimore who have the potential to thrive in an independent school environment but lack the financial resources necessary to enroll. When a family is accepted into the B.E.S.T. program, they receive admissions counseling and support as they apply to three of our member schools.

We strive to build the grassroots power of Black workers to promote racial and economic justice in the workplace and throughout our communities. BALT provides legal support to Baltimore communities as they exercise their civil liberties protesting against injustices rooted in structural racism and economic inequality. BALT exercises a community lawyering approach because we believe that communities' organizing efforts should drive legal advocacy. We support and advance mass defense employing a human rights and racial equity framework.BALT is committed to building the power of the local Movement for Black Lives. We take our direction from community organizing groups who are on the ground, and we respect the leadership of local activists. BALT is committed to anti-racist practices and to black leadership. BALT is dedicated to politically-conscious lawyering and to using creative, collective solutions to support the Movement for Black Lives in Baltimore.
