Description (click to expand)
The Einstein Community Health Outreach (ECHO) Free Clinic is a collaboration between the Institute for Family Health and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The clinic provides free, high-quality, comprehensive health care to the uninsured population of the Bronx of New York City. The ECHO Free Clinic embraces the spirit of volunteerism and service embodied in our health care professionals and student volunteers. The clinic is open every Saturday morning from 9 am until 12 pm (except holidays). Please keep in mind that we are only able to serve those who do not currently have health insurance. This also means that we do not see children at this clinic, since all children in the state of New York are eligible for Child Health Plus health insurance. The ECHO Free Clinic accomplishes all that it does owing to generous grants from our donors, free and discounted services provided by local hospitals and medical establishments, the ongoing support of the Institute for Family Health and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and most importantly, our student and physician volunteers.

Description (click to expand)
We are organizing and developing the leadership of Black and Brown youth and Black women in South Florida so that they may help lead the struggle to liberate all oppressed people. Currently our central focus is on organizing young people to fight for safe and supportive schools that put an end to school pushout. We are building Power U chapters in different high schools and fighting for schools that prioritize human development over profit, where all youth have the resources, access and opportunity to reach their full potential and where they are treated with dignity, regardless of race, gender or economic situation. We are also organizing local community members and building power with teachers advocating that the school district increases their pay and prioritizes funding for student supports such as mental health counselors and comprehensive sex education and divests funding from school police. We believe that as a community, we have a stake in the decisions that are made and have a say in our governance.
