Upgrade is a new program in San Antonio focused on supporting adults who have some college credit and have not yet finished their degree or certificate. If you are an adult with some college credits and you want to go back to school to finish your degree or certificate, Upgrade is here to help you explore your options.

Through the Family Nutrition Education Program (FNEP), MU Extension is dedicated to providing research-based nutrition education to Missouri’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients and those who are eligible. MU Extension nutrition educators work with individuals and groups in a variety of settings throughout the state to meet a wide range of needs. Whether reaching out to youth and adults through direct education or working with communities to promote healthy policies, systems and environments (PSE), the goal of FNEP is to help participants make behavior changes to achieve lifelong health and fitness. Often people tell us how the program has impacted their lives, even years after they have participated. Each day there are new stories that bring home the same important message: The MU Extension Family Nutrition Education Program makes a difference, a difference that means better health and fitness for a lifetime.

The Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research is dedicated to understanding the processes and conditions that create and sustain social justice globally, nationally, regionally, and locally— with a special focus on the Louisville community and the U.S. South. The institute seeks to advance understanding of the U.S. civil rights movement and to honor the humanitarian vision of longtime racial justice organizer, educator and journalist Anne Braden, whose outlook was global, but whose activism was concentrated at the grassroots level.

The Immigration Law Clinic at the University of Arkansas School of Law offers pro bono representation and legal assistance to immigrants in the local community. Areas of immigration legal assistance: Adjustment of Status, Asylum applications, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Employment authorization, Family-based petitions, NACARA, Naturalization/Citizenship, Removal hearings, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, T visas, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), U visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions

In partnership with Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners, the UNHP Northwest Bronx Resource Center UNHP hosts and enrolls local residents in a four-class intensive personal finance class known as Getting Ahead. The curriculum covers all aspects of personal finance and 1:1 meetings with the financial advisor are available. Classes are given in English and Spanish and all graduates receive a credit union banking package and lifetime access to 1:1 coaching.

Provides emergency utility and heating assistance to Essex County and Newark residents. Programs include Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) as well as the WAP-Energy conservation program. They also help immigrants and Spanish speakers.
