Mental Health America of Greater Houston is the area’s longest serving mental health education and advocacy organization focused on shaping the mental health of people and communities in the areas of children and education, integrated health care, chronic illnesses, women, suicide prevention, and veterans. We actively work to replace misperceptions and misunderstanding about mental illness with compassion and proper treatment; link people to mental health services; provide education and training for key sectors of the community; remove barriers to mental health care by facilitating change in systems and advocate for legislative solutions that address the vast unmet need for public mental health services.

The collective wants to unify and empower educators of color in the Philadelphia and Greater Philadelphia communities.

Initially attracted to the real estate industry as an investor, Megan soon learned that the process of buying or selling a home could be a complicated and complex one. She became passionate about educating home buyers and sellers on every step of the real estate process, from finding a good mortgage product or setting a list price, to obtaining a thorough inspection and getting a responsive attorney. Having earned an economics degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she's committed to assisting men and women empower themselves through real estate. Specifically, she advocates achieving freedom, building equity, taking advantage of tax benefits, and investing through homeownership.

Recognizing that communities of color have very specific challenges around mental health awareness and stigma, as well as access to care, McLean Hospital and the Boston chapter of the NAACP are partnering to address these areas of concern.

The Disability Law Center (DLC) staff will continue to work remotely and not take any walk-in visitors to help slow down the spread of COVID-19 through July 31, after which DLC will decide whether we need to extend this status in consideration of public health concerns. During this health crisis, please know that DLC is here for you. Our staff continues to provide client services, respond to calls and emails, and attend meetings via telephone or videoconference. DLC’s phone lines remain open during regular business hours: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
