Black Lives Matter New Haven established in August 2015 by co-founders Sun Queen, Orisha Ala Ochumare, Dawnise Boulware and Sy Frasier is a grassroots organization committed to building community power. BLMNHV leads grassroots efforts to eradicate systemic white supremacy, oppression and racial violence on Black, Brown and Queer communities and to combat the compounding effects of such violence by promoting holistic healing and Black, Brown and Queer creativity and joy. BLMNHV’s work is centered in New Haven but the organization is a recognized leader in racial justice across the state of Connecticut. BLMNHV is ardently committed to systemic change to actualize racial, economic and health equity!

Black Lives Matter Houston is an organization that addresses the issues that affects Black folks and collaborates with partners to build a healthy, educated and financially stable Black community. Our ultimate goal is to pave a path for Black power and liberation where it is understood that ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER. Our Mission is to build a movement that transforms Houston into a city that allows Black Houston to grow and thrive.

Black Lives Matter Chicago is an intersectional vehicle that values Black people and our right to self-determination. We fight for justice with families most impacted, while working to create just and equitable systems. We work to end state violence and criminalization of Black communities by deconstructing white supremacist, capitalist, patriarchy. We are 100% volunteer run.

Black Lives Matter Louisville is Louisville's local branch of the national BLM organization. They offer events, educational and activist resources, and media.

Black Liberation Fund serves as caregivers to those seeking liberation after an arrest. Since June we have supported protesters in Charleston and surrounding areas providing bail support, connecting to legal support, and other resources that are obstacles to pre and post-incarceration. We also support our local community members with bail resources on a case by case basis.

BLAC is a nonprofit bar association. The BLAC is open to legal professionals and law students who want to build relationships, develop their careers and work towards the objectives of the organization. They have resources for lawyers and people seeking legal assistance.
