In addition to Corazon, CAR also sponsors Rainbow Camp, the Big Gay Variety Show series, and Little Rock Pride Fest. However, CAR is not just about big events. CAR also sponsors a number of programs designed to foster unity and offer safety and privacy to LGBTQ youth. CAR was founded in 2003 in Little Rock, Arkansas by LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) and straight allies. CAR is a 501(c)(3) sponsored statewide organization that believes that all people should have equitable access to fair treatment, a democratic political process as well as economic and environmental justice. CAR is an inclusive, inter-generational LGBTQ-centric organization working with our Allies to build and sustain a progressive movement in Arkansas that connects people, communities and issues for the purpose of ending discrimination, securing equal rights, protections and fair treatment for ALL Arkansans.
