In March 2008, the Cleveland Bar and Cuyahoga County Bar Association combined more than 135 years of rich history to create the unified Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association with a primary reach of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. As a result, the CMBA serves the largest legal community in Ohio. A center for legal professionalism in the region, it promotes the highest ethical and professional standards while leveraging the talent and generosity of our members to serve the Greater Cleveland community with lauded pro bono and community service programs focusing on youth & workforce development, access to justice, and nonprofit & artistic communities. We are also the home of nationally recognized "Lawyers Giving Back" public outreach and pro bono legal service programs, funded by our Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation. The Foundation's tagline - "Lawyers Giving Back" - captures the spirit behind the hard work of our volunteers and Foundation to serve our community well. We are pleased to offer all of Greater Cleveland access to legal assistance, a fantastic conference center, and opportunities to connect with our legal community and each other through business, networking and fun social events.

The Cleveland Foundation and our donors have invested hundreds of millions of dollars to improve education, housing, job opportunities and access to healthcare in our community. And while these investments have improved the quality of life for individuals and families in Greater Cleveland, they have not yet eliminated the disparities that exist along racial lines. More than 50 years after the Fair Housing Act, our city remains one of the most racially segregated in the nation – both geographically and in terms of educational, economic and health outcomes – among other measures. The launch of the Cleveland Black Futures Fund represents a new and more intentionally anti-racist approach in the Cleveland Foundation’s work, a direction that is necessary if we wish to move our entire community forward. We do not yet have all the answers, but we will continue to listen, learn and act. We hope you will join us.

Clarinda Academy is a residential academic and behavioral health treatment facility for adolescent males. Every aspect of our school is student-centered and designed to accommodate individual learning styles, providing each student the greatest potential to succeed. Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of interscholastic sports, including 11 varsity teams in the Corner Conference, as well as fine arts programs and vocational training. We believe that intensely scheduled programming, skill-building activities, and carefully guided extra-curriculars, along with appropriate treatment programs administered by experienced and caring professionals, create benefits for our students that have the potential to impart life-long redirection.

The New Haven urban area hosts a true youth-serving system that effectively speaks with a unified voice when articulating youth needs and goals, fosters collaboration so that youth service providers reach all young people, and publicly acknowledges the positive value in youth voice and youth leaders, as well as the dedicated people who support their development. Moving forward, Citywide Youth Coalition has incorporated anti-racist values and radical love in the support of youth power and leadership in New Haven, Connecticut. At Citywide Youth Coalition, we hold ourselves accountable to our principles to ensure youth power isn’t synonymous with representation and we are authentic in our work. We must be intentional in nurturing relationships and developing collaborative opportunities for Black & Brown youth to prosper in all communities.
