Women Donors Network’s (WDN) mission is to advance a just, equitable, and sustainable world by leveraging the wealth, power, and community of progressive women donors. At Women Donors Network, we believe in a world where all people enjoy basic human rights and freedom from discrimination, violence, and oppression; where we are able to use environmental resources sustainably; and where all communities have equal access to economic opportunity. United by a shared vision of justice and equity for all, our members boldly invest their wealth, time, and talents together. We listen deeply to leaders and movements fighting injustice, move funds quickly, and foster creative strategies that advance systemic change. Our approach to change is multi-faceted: It is bold, unapologetic, joyful, and collaborative. Our programs provide a range of opportunities for progressive women philanthropists to learn new skills, connect with other WDN members, and leverage funding for greater collective impact.

Youth Programs/Education
Description (click to expand)
Providing representation, advocacy, and affinity spaces for Black youth in rural communities. LPM is a community-based, nonprofit serving youth in Vermont & New Hampshire, with fiscal sponsorship provided by The DREAM Program, Inc. -- The program is intended to foster an environment where Black youth can explore the diverse identities that exist across the spectrum of Blackness in an effort to dismantle the oppressive illusions of what it means to be Black and what qualifies as Black Excellence. While LPM should always offer an open door approach for processing the added complexities and challenges that racism, oppression, and discrimination that we are faced with, doing so is not a requirement of being in the program. The intention is not for us to bond through trauma, but rather to unite with joy in spite of the adverse experiences we might have had. Whether you are the only Black person in your family, or you are surrounded by Black family members; whether you have only lived in Vermont or New Hampshire, or you have just moved to the area; whether you are surrounded by Black friends, or you are “the Black friend”; please know that Living Proof Mentoring was created for you to have at least one safe environment where you can be your full and true self. You are living proof that this work matters!
