Founded in 1970, Children’s Hunger Alliance is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger. We partner with organizations throughout Ohio to provide nutritious meals to at-risk children who need them most. We help day care providers, day care centers, local school districts and afterschool and summer programs provide balanced, healthy meals to children in their care. Our team of educators also deliver nutrition education and lead children in physical activities to provide a balanced approach to childhood health.

The Chicago Urban League’s Housing and Financial Empowerment Center (HFEC) works to support community-based investment and growth by facilitating homeownership and wealth building. HFEC is a HUD-approved housing counseling agency that provides low- to moderate-income residents with professional housing counseling assistance. We provide mortgage delinquency and default resolution counseling, pre-purchase counseling, financial capability coaching, and rental counseling. We also offer educational workshops in the areas of financial management budget counseling, homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention, and non-delinquency post purchase. Our services are free to low- to moderate-income residents of Illinois.

The Chicago Community Bond Fund (CCBF) pays bond for people charged with crimes in Cook County, Illinois. Through a revolving fund, CCBF supports individuals whose communities cannot afford to pay the bonds themselves and who have been impacted by structural violence. CCBF also engages in public education about the role of bond in the criminal legal system and advocates for the abolition of money bond. CCBF is committed to long-term relationship building and organizing with people most directly impacted by criminalization and policing.

In addition, CCH presses for access to public schools, support services including health care, and job opportunities.
