Hamilton County Job and Family Services administers state, federal and local programs designed to help those in need and help families work toward self sufficiency. The agency has served Hamilton County since 1947. Today, the approximately 850 employees that work for the agency serve hundreds of thousands of Hamilton County residents. The department is one of the few quadruple-combined public human service agencies in Ohio – providing public assistance, children’s services, child support and workforce development programs to the community. Among the department’s many duties: local child protection, adult protection, child care, child support enforcement, workforce development, cash assistance, food assistance and medical assistance.

Summer of Solutions Hartford is a youth leadership nonprofit organization in Hartford run by Black, queer, disabled and nonbinary femmes. As the children of formally incarcerated people we have built an analysis on the needs of marginalized communities by addressing those affected by intergenerational oppression due to food apartheid, policing, and antiblack racism. Our goal is to address these issues through radical love, our community garden, food pantries, and through social justice initiatives that include abolition, antiracism, and using our platform to educate the people about Black empowerment and identifying abusive power structures. In short, we're just gangstas feeding the little homies!

The Haitian Lawyers Association’s mission is to foster and encourage professional excellence among Haitian-American Lawyers; promote a greater awareness of and commitment to the civil and political rights of the Haitian-American Community; foster and engender relationships between Haitian-American Lawyers and other members of the Florida bar, especially members of other voluntary bars; develop relationships with other Haitian-American organizations; increase the enrollment of Haitian-American law students and other minorities; promote the general welfare of Haitian-Americans in South Florida; uphold the honor and integrity of the legal profession among Haitian-American Lawyers, both on a local and national level, create networking opportunities for lawyers interested in doing business with Haitian-Americans and promote diversity in the legal profession.

Funded through the Health Resources and Services Administration (an agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services), Sulzbacher offers comprehensive healthcare to anyone in the community in need.  Sulzbacher’s Health Centers are classified as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and as such, are designed as safety net providers that serve medically underserved areas and populations. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale based on the patient’s ability to pay, and all insurances are accepted.

With the rise in Black visual art along with music, dance, design, and literature, Sugarcane Magazine controls the cultural currency of Black people. We connect thousands of readers globally with the world’s leading visual and performing artists, with a focus on making the most popular and imitated culture accessible. Started in 2006 by Melissa Hunter, our founder saw the opportunity for media that focuses on the visual and performing arts from Africa and the African diaspora. Today, her vision includes a print publication, video, social media, and our website.

SEJ is a youth-led, intergenerational organizing body that drives efforts for racial and educational justice in Connecticut. We consider “youth” and “young people” to mean high school-aged students and recent high school graduates. SEJ hosts members in weekly meetings consisting of political education trainings about institutional racism, adultism, anti-Blackness, and other oppressive systems, as well as organizing-related trainings on practices such as one-on-one meetings.
