Supportive Housing Works’ mission is to end homelessness in Fairfield County by advancing a collective impact approach through dedicated staff, committed partners and effective leadership. We implement cost effective system changes and align community resources so that no one is without a place to live for more than 30 days.

SGS is a family-based yearlong leadership development program for girls of African descent and their caregiving circle. This sisterhood and service group provides training in African and African-American history, public speaking, mental, sexual and physical health as well as workshop in West African drumming and dance, SuperCamp is the intensive 4-week leadership training academy that prepares members for the yearlong program. SuperGirls Society is an exclusive and intense experience for those who are willing to commit to civic change. We accept only 10 percent of all applicants. Our work is organized around the Kemetic principles of Maat. This year we are accepting girls who are entering the 3rd-5th grade in Fall 2020.

We believe that everyone has the right to live somewhere safe, stable, clean, and comfortable. Stable housing is not only a right that everyone deserves, it’s also important if you want to stay healthy. It’s difficult to stay healthy, keep appointments, and take medication without housing. That’s why for years we’ve offered transitional and permanent housing to people living with HIV. If you are living with HIV, are eligible for HASA (HIV/AIDS Services Administration), and need a place to live, you may be eligible for our housing program.

I AM ALSO A SC BOARD APPROVED LISW CLINICAL SUPERVISOR FOR SOCIAL WORKERS SEEKING LICENSURE. And at the core of my work is the belief that higher self-awareness leads to deeper relationships… and that how we show up in life is how we show up in love.

THINK Initiative provides valuable resources, information and guidance to help new businesses grow. In conjunction with partners, the THINK Initiative coordinates seminars and workshops covering topics including business marketing, financial literacy, small business lending and government contracting.

Harlem CDC is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency that provides one-on-one pre-purchase counseling to first-time home buyers. Topics covered in pre-purchase counseling include financial management, evaluating credit, prequalifying and loan approval, shopping for a home, financing options, finalizing a loan, and the closing process.

Our mission, "to preserve, exhibit, interpret and increase public awareness about the contributions that visual artists of African descent have made to world culture" is the underpinning of the of the institution's ongoing work. Artistic excellence, culture and community is the focus of our vision.

Sunrise Movement demands a new chapter in this country and encourages other groups in the climate and environmental movement to join us in speaking out. As climate activists, we imagine a world that looks nothing like our own, one where we stop climate change by transforming our whole economy. The fight against climate change exists along side the fight against white supremacy and colonialism.
