This application is for students seeking an undergraduate degree. Applicants should be an accepted student at an accredited institution of higher learning to include community colleges, private institutions, and certified vocational training programs. Application Deadline: All applications must be postmarked no later than April 30th (no exceptions allowed). This is a one-time award.

The Counseling Connection has been serving people in the Greater Kanawha Valley since 1929, starting out in the basement of St. John’s Episcopal Church. The agency was then staffed by volunteers who provided emergency assistance and later “friendly visiting” to people who needed temporary help with their financial problems or someone to talk with because of loneliness, loss of family members or other reasons. As our whole social structure became more complex, the agency had to hire staff trained in counseling to deal with the multiple problems individuals, couples and families faced. In 1979, at the request of the local United Way Board of Directors, The Counseling Connection merged with the Sexual Assault Information Center. The merger brought one staff person, funded by the VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America.) The Counseling Connection Board made a commitment to the United Way Board and to the community to expand treatment services from rape victims to include other sexual abuse issues, incest and non-familial sexual assault / abuse and Domestic Violence

The Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is proud to stand as a national leader in community healthcare, offering state-of-the-art and integrated care at over twenty care sites throughout New Haven County. Wells, Ida B’s Table is a modern soul food restaurant with four distinct areas for guests to enjoy: the bar, the parlor, the drawing room, and the main dining room. The restaurant serves lunch, small plates during happy hour, and dinner. Weekend service extends from brunch through dinner.

The Cop Accountability Project (CAP) empowers organizations and communities across New York City to hold police officers accountable for human rights violations. The CAP project runs a database that tracks police misconduct in New York City and is used by public defense, civil rights, and human rights organizations.
