Indivisible Civics supports civic education and leadership development for local Indivisible groups by offering trainings, facilitating regional group coordination, building partnerships, demystifying federal and state policy processes, and supporting voter registration.

Our Employment Services program is designed to equip formerly incarcerated jobseekers with skills necessary to obtain employment and thrive in the workplace. We offer a variety of services to help motivated job seekers begin their careers and advance professionally. These services include job readiness workshops, sector-based skills trainings in Green Construction, Environmental Remediation, Culinary Arts, Job Development, and Transportation, as well as job placement assistance and retention services. We also offer subsidized internships, known as Transitional Work, to help job seekers in need of additional hands-on experience advance in their desired careers.

We, the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee (IWOC), are a prisoner-led section of the Industrial Workers of the World. We struggle to end prison slavery along with allies and supporters on the outside. On September 9, 2016 we were part of a coalition of inside and outside groups that launched the largest prison strike in US history. Resistance to prison slavery continues with work stoppages, hunger strikes and other acts of resistance

In January 2014, a group of organizers and frontline community members fighting fracking and fracked gas infrastructure projects (pipelines, compressor stations, export terminals,) on the east coast participated in the first FANG: Fighting Against Natural Gas Convergence.FANG is comprised of members from: RI, MA, NJ, ME, CT and MI. The FANG Collective currently supports two campaigns local to the Northeast: No New Power Plant and No LNG IN PVD.

Note: in person courses are not currently active due to COVID. IMPACT works to prevent violence and abuse by giving people the tools to protect their safety and advocate for healthy relationships and sexual respect in their communities and society. IMPACT has been teaching solutions for safe living since 1971. We provide realistic personal safety training that gives people the skills to respond appropriately to threatening situations in the moment of fear or intimidation. We also collaborate with schools and organizations to create programs that proactively prevent abuse. IMPACT’s prevention programs emphasize giving people the tools to manage their adrenaline or stress responses so they can intervene effectively when they observe risky situations. Too often abuse goes unchallenged because people don’t feel safe speaking up. IMPACT programs help people increase their ability to safely advocate for themselves and others.
