Refugee Project The purpose of the program is to assist refugees to achieve economic self-sufficiency and social adjustment within the shortest possible time after their arrival in the United States. AIRE Low-Bono Program The purpose of this new initiative is to help make legal representation affordable, provide a wider array of legal services to the immigrant community at reduced fees, and alleviate the gap for low to moderate income individuals who are below 400% of the poverty line.

The Rising Mama is an organization serving mothers and families, providing support, self care opportunities and healing experiences designed to strengthen the family unit with the matriarch at the center of its work. MOMCares (a project within the Rising Mama) is a postpartum doula program designed to support mothers of color in the NICU who identify themselves as under supported and facing financial stressors. MOMCares provides packaged meals, transportation, bedside support, self care opportunities and child care for older siblings to mothers in need.

The Resurrection Project offers high-quality immigration legal services aimed at protecting Illinois residents and reuniting immigrants with their families. Our attorneys and accredited case representatives consult community members on a variety of services, including: citizenship, family petitions, adjustment of status, DACA renewals, U-Visa and VAWA for victims of domestic violence, removal defense, bond hearings, and asylum.

The mission of Jacksonville Area Legal Aid is to provide high quality legal assistance to low income and special needs groups – to empower them to accomplish energetic and affirmative advocacy, all to alleviate the circumstances, incidents and causes of poverty and discrimination.

The Posse model works for both students and college campuses and is rooted in the belief that a small, diverse group of talented students—a Posse—carefully selected and trained, can serve as a catalyst for individual and community development. As the United States becomes an increasingly multicultural society, Posse believes that the leaders of the 21st century should reflect the country’s rich demographic mix. The key to a promising future for our nation rests on the ability of strong leaders from diverse backgrounds to develop consensus solutions to complex social problems. Posse’s primary aim is to train these leaders of tomorrow.

Jackson Freedom League Youth Football is ushering in a new way to establish the “total child” method of mentoring. The JFL will be strong stressing, emphasizing, and insisting on a focus of high character for each and every participant in the league. Through structured discipline, community service, and encouragement of high personal conduct we want to positively change and mold each child to be the best they can possibly be for themselves.
