The mission of the Urban League of Greater Cleveland is dedicated to providing equal opportunities for African-Americans and other minority members to develop and exercise their potential on par with all other Americans through education, research, advocacy and provision of services.

We believe in the American dream – that everyone should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative. Since our founding in 1917, our mission to help African Americans and disadvantaged residents achieve social and economic self sufficiency has supported that ideal. We offer relevant programs and services in education, employment, housing and economic development that empower communities and change lives. Through the generous support of our funders, partners, members and volunteers, The League has touched the lives of thousands of individuals and families – putting them on the path to better opportunities, financial stability, home ownership and their own American dream.

The Uptown Collective is the voice of Uptown Online. We have been preaching the Uptown Gospel on a daily basis since Feb 2010. Washington Heights, Inwood and Harlem are undergoing a rebirth that Led Black has dubbed the Uptown Renaissance. The Uptown Collective’s mission is to document that verve, energy and dynamism in real time as well as to help shape it’s trajectory. The Uptown Collective is one of a few very select blogs that are featured in the blogroll of the City Rooms section of the NY Times. In addition to the online portal, we have a weekly column in the local newspaper and neighborhood institution, The Manhattan Times.

Resources for LGBTIA+ children, youth, and their families. A community coalition providing medical and mental health resources, youth and family information, awareness, advocacy, safe places, community education, school initiatives and more to advance the health and well being of all children and youth in Jacksonville.

Through innovative services and community collaboration we build strong families. By promoting equitable access and opportunity for all families we create the foundation of a resilient, flourishing community. Our trauma-informed, equity-driven programs meet the diverse needs of our community, including: - Counseling and mental health skill-building - Early childhood education and youth mentoring - Foster care - Financial and housing education and counseling - Disability Services
