Johnson's Montessori School has reached more than 400 children and families since our establishment in 2000 through a focus on programs that ensure that young children are prepared for pre-kindergarten and beyond. From Conway to North Little Rock to Maumelle and Little Rock, Johnson's Montessori School is a Family-Owned Business that has parents that are willing to commute an hour per day to include their children in our school community. We believe that our healthy community is the result of centering our academics and programs on six core values: KNOWLEDGE, RESPONSIBILITY, RESPECT, HONESTY, CARING, AND FUN. Our staff, programs, and curriculum are the backbones of our academic, extra-curricular, and after-school programs.

The Arts Program of the Walls Project work ranges from producing ten-story murals on high rise buildings, creating interactive healing-arts sculptures at hospitals, and recycling yard signs into mini-mural canvasses for children. Our mission is to build a vibrant creative economy, accessible for all. Through public art, workforce training, and blight remediation, we are able to conquer the drivers of poverty while building culture and inclusion.

The Virginia Food Access Investment Fund (VFAIF) is a statewide program that focuses on equity and justice in local food systems by investing in new or expanding food retailers that address food access issues in the Commonwealth. VFAIF offers grants and loans to fund the business development, construction, rehabilitation, equipment upgrades and expansion of grocery stores, small food retailers, and innovative food retail projects in historically marginalized communities.

Black and brown Marylanders are facing systemic violence and over-policing every day and our legislators must take immediate and meaningful action to change this. JUFJ has been working with coalition partners since 2015 to achieve greater police accountability and end police violence. But piecemeal reform has not been enough. In the wake of the nationwide protests following the murders of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, we can wait no longer. JUFJ’s ethic of mutual care calls us to boldly rethink policing and transform public safety in our region.

Jewels Academy is an organization for young women that provides unique and challenging learning experiences. While preserving traditions and respect for its principles and values, Jewels Academy welcomes students of all faiths and socio-economic backgrounds. We have a heart for the underprivileged to help them break the chains of poverty. We have a heart for the underserved girls to give them exposure to experiences and opportunities they would not otherwise receive in their current environment. Jewels Academy encourages young women to not only focus on their academics but also cultivate their multi-faceted dimensions as a person. We like to teach balance at Jewels by the acronym of P.O.I.S.E. +S. which stands for 6 areas of a student’s being. Those areas are physical, occupational, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and social. These categories are defined to create a well-rounded student ready for the next stage in life.
