Downwinders at Risk believes that environmental protection is a Do-It-Yourself proposition, and that effective community organizing is the key to providing it. By working together with our neighbors who are also being harmed by toxic air pollution, we stand a better chance of making the air cleaner, and increasing citizen influence in making decisions that affect the air we breathe. We focus exclusively on North Texas clean air issues. Our entire board is from the DFW area. We work from the bottom up, with local priorities driving our program work.
