Mission The National Network of Abortion Funds builds power with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice. Vision We envision a world where every reproductive decision, including abortion, takes place in thriving communities that are safe, peaceful, and affordable. We envision a world where all people have the power and resources to care for and affirm their bodies, identities, and health for themselves and their families—in all areas of their lives. As we shift the conversation about abortion, it will become a real option, accessible without shame or judgment.

NLG Chicago’s Legal Observer® Program is aimed to enable people to express their political views as fully as possible, without unconstitutional disruption or interference by the government, and with the least onerous consequences from the criminal legal system. NLG Chicago’s Legal Observers® (LOs) are trained and vetted professionals. LOs work under the supervision of Legal Observer® Program Coordinators, who are attorneys licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois. The Program works to build and maintain principled, trust-based relationships with the activists and organizations who request Legal Observers®.

The National Lawyers Guild of Chicago’s Mass Defense Committee is an all-volunteer network of legal workers, law students, and lawyers committed to providing effective legal support for progressive protest movements and demonstrators. Part of this support involves providing free or discounted political criminal defense for activists charged with crimes as a result of their activism.

Our overall mission at NBDA is to help fight the Black Maternal Mortality rate in this country and beyond, through educational development and empowerment. We provide a professional Doula Directory and resources for Black Doulas. Through continuous development opportunities, we help strengthen their Doula business infrastructure.

National Black Deaf Advocates (NBDA) is the official advocacy organization for thousands of Black Deaf and Hard of Hearing Americans. For more than three decades, NBDA has been at the forefront of advocacy efforts for civil rights and equal access to education, employment, and social services on behalf of the Black Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the United States.
