A list of disability programs available in South Carolina. The Hands on Health-SC Website was created to address the health issues that affect the quality of life, education, and employability of South Carolinians. This website differs from other consumer health sites in a number of ways. It pays special attention to health issues of particular importance to SC citizens and communities. We’ve written plain language articles on the diseases and health issues that are South Carolina’s Biggest Health Problems. Hands on Health-SC also includes an online directory of health services called Go Local-SC that directs readers to local health services, many of them free and low cost. Hospitals, community health clinics, long term care facilities, support groups, health screening programs and many other services are included in Go Local-SC. It offers the capability to search for health services by type of provider, disease or health issue, and location.
